Flange Dims / Weights: Know What You're Working With

Why Dimensions and Weight Matter

Knowing your flange's exact dimensions and weight is critical for:

What We Provide

For every flange, we supply:

Standard Specifications

ASME B16.5 & B16.47

American standards covering flanges from 1/2" to 48". B16.5 covers smaller flanges; B16.47 covers large-diameter, high-pressure flanges. Both define Class ratings (150, 300, 400, 600, etc.).

DIN / EN Standards

European standard EN 1092-1 defines flange types and pressure ratings. Dimensions differ from ASME — a 4" DIN flange is not the same as a 4" ASME flange.

JIS Standards

Japanese Industrial Standard for flange dimensions and bolt patterns. Commonly used in Asian manufacturing and OEM applications.

Sample Weight Table — ASME B16.5, Carbon Steel

SizeClass 150Class 300Class 600
2"~3.5 lbs~6.5 lbs~10 lbs
4"~9 lbs~16 lbs~27 lbs
6"~19 lbs~34 lbs~59 lbs
12"~64 lbs~125 lbs~245 lbs

Weights vary by material, finish face type, and bore. Stainless steel and alloys will differ. Request exact specs for your project.

Standard vs. Custom

Standard flange dimensions are published in spec sheets. Custom flanges may have non-standard OD, BCD, bore, or thickness to fit your equipment or application. We provide full drawings and specs for every custom job.
